Fabric width

You can give this size if you want the fabric of the blind to cover the window opening. We suggest you add 10cm at the top and at least 5cm either side to ensure adequate coverage.

If measuring an existing blind, measure across the width of the fabric only and ignore any brackets.

Recess size

Take the measurement inside the recess. Do not deduct anything from this size, we will do that to make sure your blind fits perfectly.

We suggest you take 3 measurements and use the smallest one. This will allow for any unevenness and ensure your blind fits.

Exact width

Do not use this if your blind is inside a recess. You can give this size if you want the fabric of the blind to cover the window opening (Outside the recess). We suggest you add 10cm at the top and at least 5cm either side to ensure adequate coverage.

The size of the finished blind will be around 35mm (3.5cm) wider than the width of the fabric.

Fixing Height

Measure the distance from the floor to the height at which the product will be installed.

In order to comply with the British safety standard EN13120, or UK equivilant, child safety devices must be installed alongside your product.

In addition the control must be a certain height from the floor. This measurement is required in order to calculate the control length for the product.

Standard Roll

The fabric comes of the back of the blind, close to the glass. This is the best way to maximise insulation and light control.

It is considered the standard option in the industry.

Reverse Roll

The fabric comes forward off the blind, away from the glass. Ideal for clearing obstructions such as handles or winders. It also hides the roller itself and creats a valnce effect. Not recomended for outside recess fitting as there is an increased gap down the sides.

Left control

The control mechanism is on the left of the product as you face it.

Right control

The control mechanism is on the right of the product as you face it.

Location & Window Number

To make it easier for you, it may help to identify which room and window the product is for.

If you enter a location and window number we will print this on the delivery label so you know where they are to be fitted.

To identify a window, simply number the windows clockwise around the room from the entrance.
