Aluminium Blinds are a popular choice due to their wide range of colours.

Made from premium gauge aluminium, MyFitter aluminium blinds provide a durable and cost-effective solution for almost any décor and are presented in 25mm, 35mm and 50mm, slat sizes. The 35mm and 50mm options can also be provided with perforated slats.

Maximum Privacy, Air Flow, and Light Control

Venetian blinds are operated by a cord and give you the option to draw them completely open to the top of the window, or you can leave them down but tilt the slats open up to 180 degrees to allow light through.

Perfect for summer, if you tip the slats by 45 degrees our made to measure 25mm aluminium blinds can provide you with absolute daytime and night-time privacy yet still allow light in and air to flow freely between the slats. During the day the slats can either be stacked completely up, off the window, to let the sunlight pour into the room, or slip gently through the slightly opened slats for a more restful effect.

The importance of safety

Chains and cords from curtains or blinds have been identified as a potential risk to small children.

Having a safety device is now a legal requirement even in homes without children.

What does that mean?

We are committed to adhering to the European 13120 standard, or UK equivelent, as a minimum safety requirement. This means any blind you purchase through our website will be supplied with a child safety device, unless the blind has been manufacured inherently safe.

All Venetian blinds come with an appropriate child safety device.

The cord condenser is designed to consolidate the pull cords into one string and also to break-away, stopping any loops from forming. The safety cleat is used to wrap the cord around to keep it out of children’s reach.

Installation service

Fabric width

You can give this size if you want the fabric of the blind to cover the window opening. We suggest you add 10cm at the top and at least 5cm either side to ensure adequate coverage.

If measuring an existing blind, measure across the width of the fabric only and ignore any brackets.

Recess size

Take the measurement inside the recess. Do not deduct anything from this size, we will do that to make sure your blind fits perfectly.

We suggest you take 3 measurements and use the smallest one. This will allow for any unevenness and ensure your blind fits.

Exact width

Do not use this if your blind is inside a recess. You can give this size if you want the fabric of the blind to cover the window opening (Outside the recess). We suggest you add 10cm at the top and at least 5cm either side to ensure adequate coverage.

The size of the finished blind will be around 35mm (3.5cm) wider than the width of the fabric.

Fixing Height

Measure the distance from the floor to the height at which the product will be installed.

In order to comply with the British safety standard EN13120, or UK equivilant, child safety devices must be installed alongside your product.

In addition the control must be a certain height from the floor. This measurement is required in order to calculate the control length for the product.

Standard Roll

The fabric comes of the back of the blind, close to the glass. This is the best way to maximise insulation and light control.

It is considered the standard option in the industry.

Reverse Roll

The fabric comes forward off the blind, away from the glass. Ideal for clearing obstructions such as handles or winders. It also hides the roller itself and creats a valnce effect. Not recomended for outside recess fitting as there is an increased gap down the sides.
